Who's behind this thing? |
Hi! I'm Rodrigo Faustini Silva, son of Therezinha Maria Faustini Silva (before Therezinha Modenese Faustini) and Gil dos Santos Silva. I live in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim (ES), Brazil, and I'm 25 years old. I work as a computer consultant, technician and instructor, visual programmer (Web designer) and English teacher. I'm a Business Administration college student, too. Among other activities, nowadays I work on my own business, a small home-based office dedicated to computer-related works. I really appreciate to make (and mantain) contact with my relatives, doesn't matter who they are, what they do and where they live. I think the union among the members of a family gives them some power they need to live better (and this power traduces, predominantly, under the form of mutual help and support). All of us have a lot of relatives out there we never saw before, right? I think it's very comfortable to meet a "new" one and, the most important thing, keep on making contact with him/her for a lifetime. The most important purpose of my (or better, our) site is that through it we can decrease the distance among all the members of our family, making us this way a little bit closer - or at least putting us just a keyboard away from each one of us. This way we can develop relationships lost in space and time, no matter where in this world we are. In fact, nowadays the big net give us a great range of possibilities never imagined before. What I'm trying to do right now is just take advantage of these possibilities in order to let us closer to each other as a family. By the way, after the creation of planes and Internet, who cares about the size of the world?...
But I can't do it all alone. Our pages need a lot more information, such as links to other web pages manteined by (or referring) to other relatives, family and personal pictures, and the most important: other millions of us have to know there's already a virtual meeting point for our family. So how can you help? No, don't worry - there's no requests for money donations... First, tell me what you think about this "project" (what's good or not, what should be added or removed, etc). Then tell us more about you, your family members and all the other relatives you know. Give me their e-mail/web page/home addresses so I can contact them and tell them we've already have our own place in the big net and let it go! Please note that this site is a part-time activity for me (such as a hobby) and it does't serve me as a way of living. If you would like to volunteer to help me with this site, please e-mail me as soon as you want and tell me what you can do to make your part.
